Hello, I applaud your web site its incredibly interesting, I have a small , handworked, leather purse that I think would hang from a belt, I am in Spain and have sought information but I am yet to find someone familiar with this format, it maywell have been made for one of the many fiestashere but I would value your opinion, I am not one for computers but can send a foto via whatsup my number is 34 622 728 059 many thanks, I will be amazed if my email arrives as I rarely use it. Many thanks, keep up the good work, Lynn
Thank you for the compliment about my site! I wish I could help you with the leather purse, but it is not my specialty. There are two books you might be interested in, called Purses in Pieces by Olaf Goubitz and Dress Accessories 1150-1450, by Geoff Egan and Frances Pritchard. These can give you a clearer idea of the styles of leather purses in use at least in the northern European areas, during the medieval time period. Best wishes.
